Like other municipalities and private sector organizations across the nation, the City of Arvada has looked for ways to significantly improve the health of its employee population while simultaneously retaining competitive benefits.
While many employers have focused on changes to benefit plan design to manage and control costs, these changes can be limited in their impact on the underlying root healthcare cost drivers. Recognizing these limitations led the City of Arvada to examine other new and innovative health solutions available in the
marketplace.
Led by the Human Resources team and City Manager, Arvada prioritized stakeholder involvement, utilizing a Benefits Advisory Committee to ensure consensus in decision-making.
After a thorough ROI analysis, Marathon Health emerged as an ideal partner, offering a unique model emphasizing patient-provider relationships and access to care. By providing greater provider accessibility and personalized outreach, Marathon facilitates proactive care management, aligning with Arvada’s goal of improving employee engagement and satisfaction while effectively managing healthcare costs.
