CHG Healthcare Case Study

The healthcare company has saved over $10M on healthcare expenses by having an onsite health center and access to the Marathon Health Network.

The Challenge

When the COVID-19 pandemic ramped up in 2020 and forced CHG Healthcare's headquartered employees to work from, the organization wanted to ensure employees could continue to access healthcare without coming into the office.

CHG had been operating an onsite health center at its Salt Lake City headquarters for many years but now needed a better solution to serve its employees and their families.

Our Solution

CHG partnered with Marathon Health to open the first Salt Lake City Network location, uniquely positioned within 10 miles of most employees' homes. Alongside Network access for its Salt Lake City workforce, CHG also partners with Marathon to manage its onsite health centers in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Durham, North Carolina.

Over a decade into the partnership, CHG sees higher-than-industry-average engagement across all health centers, including 50% for high-risk employees.

"I think a lot of people, especially the tenured employees, don't even think of Marathon Health as a separate entity. It's a part of who we are and what we do," says Carrie Koncar, CHG's Senior Wellness Specialist, People and Operations.

"Marathon is part of our culture. There's a lot of stories on ROI, but where Marathon has truly made a difference is in the relationships they've built with our people. They're a trusted partner."
