Getting an appointment to see your primary care physician can be difficult, and only some have a primary care physician. That's an issue when you're an employer that wants your employees to be healthy.
It's one of the reasons that ADVICS North America partnered with Marathon Health. For employees who were lucky enough to get into their primary physician's office for an appointment, it usually required at least half a day off work.
"The last thing you want to do is sit in a waiting room for 15 minutes, get called back to sit in the doctor's office for another 15 minutes, only for the doctor to see you for 2 minutes," says Matt Mikolajewski, Benefits Specialist at ADVICS North America.
ADVICS decided to join the Marathon Health Network, which offers four health centers conveniently located around Cincinnati, including one just five minutes from their corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility.
The health centers provide more than just acute care; they also provide a means for their employees to take care of themselves long-term. The health centers also offer primary care, health coaching, and behavioral health services.
